Fortune had shown on Roger, once again, not only did he escape with his life.but with the plans that could save his dying planet as well. Ultimately he foiled the dastardly plans of the evil Sariens by destroying the secret Star Generator. Little did he imagine the adventures in store for him, as he prepared to risk his life for the freedom of the entire universe! Because, although he's was not anxious to throw his life away, neither was he willing to see the entire galaxy under the rule of those fiendish, evil Sariens.

He needed to find a way to render the Star Generator inoperative in the Sarien's hands (perhaps some clue as to how do this might be found somewhere on the Arcada, he thought). Before he left his sanctuary, he had one last thought. He knew he must somehow escape from the captured vessel. He was bound to be discovered eventually. But to hide forever in the closet would also be pointless. It was obvious (even to him) what their ojective must have been: the capture of the Star Generator (original version)! Roger was no hero - to leap out and try to stop those murerous marauders would cost him his life, and gain nothing. Although he wasn't used to alot of thinking (his job didn't usually require much), his brain cells were working furiously. A group fo Sariens, apparenlty admiring their handiwork, were close enough for him to touch them! He breathed a sigh of relief as they moved off. Several of his fellow crew members lie dead on the floor.

He cracked the closet door, and peered into the corridor. Soon, the commotion died down and he became brave enough to look outside. WIth a well-developed sense of self preservation, he decided to stay put for a while. From his hiding, he heard laser blasts mingled with the screams of his crewmates. Immedietly, alarm system activated and an announcment came through the intercome that Sarien troops had boarded the ship. This did not amuse him, as his dream was just getting interesting. Suddenly, he was rudely awoken by explosions that rocked his ship. Most often he bumbles into nasty situations, but his superb wit and daring courage will always see him through.to the detriment of space villains! Īs Roger Wilco's adventure begins in Space Quest: The Sarien Encounter, he was conducting one of his famous on-shift naps in the janitorial storage closet on board the Starship Arcada (original version). Unlike most janitors who are, to the most extent, satisfied with their jobs, our particular janitor aspires to be a real space hero.
